As many of you may know, I am a huge horror fan. Sometimes scaring myself is the only way to fall asleep at night. I love jump scars and bloody screams. I even like how the bad guy sometimes wins.
My love of horror started when I was 3 years old. I am not lying, my parents tell me that at 3, when we would go to the movie store I would run to the horror section. I don’t know why I was such a strange child…I never grew out of it either.
I found out about the subscription box called the Horror block about a year ago and have been debating it since. A few weeks ago they had a sale on a Horror Block so I got it a little cheaper than what they normally sale them for. I figured this was my time to see if I really want to invest money in this, because…I don’t have a lot of it.
This morning I slept a little late but was up just in time for the mailman to drop off my Horror Block!
Say hello to Eugene, the skull. He just couldn’t help himself getting in this picture. He was keeping my identity safe…and he is a bit of a camera whore.
You will have to excuse the randomness of this, but I want this tape! I would use it on everything. My little horror loving heart can’t contain it’s excitement!
Of course, I hurried and opened the box because I am not the one to wait for anything. It killed me having to wait to get the box in the first place. Behold…the beauty inside!
Can I just say that I couldn’t be happier when I saw the Funko Pop figure. That could have been the only good thing about the box and I would have been good to go. In case you forgot…I have a ton of them so far.
Now I just have to figure out where to put him on the shelf.
I also got a shirt.
I love Hannibal…but the original movie. I don’t watch the TV show, though I have wanted to. The shirt is cool either way and I will totally wear it.
There were a few other awesome things.
The buttons are from alien and are going on my purse now. The Cthulhu on board will be going on my car…today. And the Nightmare on Elm Street is a 35mm film, from a scene in the movie. Pretty cool if you ask me. Especially since I am a camera nerd to and love pictures.
This is what you see when you hold up the little window to the light. Hello Robert Englund!
The last thing that I opened…cause you know I was going to open it, was a living dead doll figurine.
After looking it up, Pink Posey is a little girl that was buried alive. I had only heard of the Living Dead dolls before this and finally decided to check it out. I want them all now…not the little figures, but the real dolls. Hello growing wish list and odd collection of things that will cause every guy to run off, leaving me to lead a life of singledom. I can’t seem to find a guy that can handle my weirdness…lol
In conclusion, is this box worth the 30 dollars a month? YES!! The Funko pops are 10 bucks a piece. The shirt is probably 20 dollars, and the Living Dead doll is worth $10-$15. So, it’s completely worth it…and who doesn’t love getting a surprise in the mail every month?
As soon as I get my next paycheck I am signing up for the monthly subscription, so if you want to see what I get next month…stay tuned!
